When you finally get to level 70, you'll be ready for the next job advancement. This is when you become even more powerful than you were before, gaining new skills and more strength as a reward for leveling up so high. At this point you will become either a Hermit or a Chief Bandit. Hermits are ranged attackers while Chief Bandits are very fast melee characters. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
To actually obtain the 3rd job, go to El Nath and talk to Arec at the Chief Residence. When you're done with him, make the trip to Victoria Island and talk to the Dark Lord once again in Kerning City. After talking to him, go to Monkey Swamp II, where you'll find the Door of Dimension. Go inside and fight the Dark Lord's evil side, obtaining the Black Charm for defeating him.
Go talk to the Dark Lord again and give him the Black Charm, and he'll give you a Necklace of Strength in return. Give this to Arec and then go to Sharp Cliff II and enter the door in the top-right corner of the map. There should be a big rock in this area. Next, you need to talk to it using a Dark Crystal, and it'll then ask you five questions. After answering them, you'll be given a Necklace of Wisdom. Go all the way back to Arec and give your newly obtained necklace to him. You'll get the 3rd job advancement after talking to him for a bit.

By the time you reach level 30 as a warrior in Maplestory, you're ready to go on to your 2nd job advancement. In order to get the 2nd job advancement, you need to pass a test and then choose one of three jobs.
Remember Dances with Balrog? Go back to Perion and talk to him. After doing so, head west until the music changes (about two "screens"). Then go up for a while until you see someone standing. Talk to this man and he'll take you to the testing area, where you'll be fighting Lupins and Fire Boars. These are a little different from the ones you normally find, but they have less HP. In order to always land a hit on them, you need 43 points in accuracy. If you don't meet that, buy some sniper potions and use them to boost your accuracy during the test. You don't need to fight both types of monsters, so it's recommended that you fight only the Fire Boars as the Lupins can be difficult to kill.

Though hired merchants have different styles and durations, they all have the same basic function, that is, to "sell" your wares for you. You do not have to be logged on or even present in the free market to make use of a hired merchant. Hired merchants have different "looks" that you can choose from, the most common of which, is a mushroom looking shop. There are also "robot" shops and coffee shops as in GMS. The hired merchant is the best option if you only have one computer and do not have continuous access to a computer, or a stable setup. The downside of the hired merchant is that it costs more and has to be reset at least once every 24 hrs.

This puts you at an advantage
If you've been training up well in MapleStory, you've probably reached the time when you will be able to advance to the 2nd job advancement.
It is a good idea to note that at level 30, a magician is much more powerful than the other classes. This puts you at an advantage and you may be able to level up faster at this point.
So once you reach level 30, you will want to return to Ellinia and speak to Grendel the Really Old. After talking to him, he will send you to the 2nd job advancement instructor in The Forest North of Ellinia. Talk to him and he will take you into a tree, where you will find extra powerful horned mushrooms and curse eyes. They drop dark marbles, so pick those up until you get 30 of them. When you finish with that, talk to the instructor and he will send you back to Grendel the Really Old after giving you a Proof of a Hero. Grendel will see your new item and then he will ask you which path you want to take.
Most people don't choose fire/poison, but it isn't bad in any way. Ice mages can freeze and kill their enemies quickly, and lightning comes with that class as well. In fact, lightning attacks allow you to kill up to 6 enemies at once, which is very powerful and useful to say the least. The last 2nd job advancement choice you could make is to become a Cleric, which eventually becomes very, very rich. You will also have the responsibility of healing your party in party quests.

After reaching level 70, obtain a Dark Crystal. Travel all the way to Orbis and head down Orbis Tower in order to get to El Nath. At El Nath, look for the highest portal on the map and go inside it. There will be three people inside it, one of which is named Tylus. Speak to him and then return to Dances with Balrog, who you should find in Perion. When you speak to him, he will teleport you to a dungeon. Walk through it until you reach the 24 hour store, named Ant Tunnel park. Find the Door of Dimensions and go inside.
Go to the end of the area you just got to, you should find the Dark Warrior. He will drop a black charm when you defeat him.
Go back to Dances with Balrog and give him the Black Charm. He will take it from you and in return, he will give you a Necklace of Strength, which you need to bring back to Tylus in El Nath. When you finish doing so, leave El Nath using a door to the right. Keep heading through portals until you reach the map titled "El Nath: Ice Valley II". Go to the very top until you reach a portal to Sharp Cliff 2. When you get there, you will have to find a secret portal in the top right part of the map, so just keep pressing up in that area until you find it. When you get inside, you'll be in the map "Holy Ground at the Snowfield". Find and double click on the green dot and you will have to answer five questions.

Compared to many other RPGs
Mainly within this game, you can interact just like within any other MMORPG (take World of Warcraft as an example). You can chat and interact with other player, but the game itself is played as a RPG, therefore you have to fight your way through monsters and puzzles. Compared to many other RPGs you do not start, as anything but just as a beginner - from this point on depending your actions and choices you will develop into a certain character.
This can be rather intriguing especially if you were used to picking your character and developing it from that point on - but it is a rather interesting perspective. Another intriguing and interesting thing is the fact that in order to generate statistics for your character you have to roll the dice - again something you do not find in typical MMORPGs.
A Beginner's Guide to Maple Story
With all the jobs and daily troubles we have to go through it seems nearly impossible to simply sit down, relax and forget about all the things that annoy us throughout the day. In some cases it even seems impossible to get your mind off your problems, not to mention unwind. Why not make a trip into a different universe and simply play a computer game?
It must be a long time since you last played a game so why not try one now - I frankly recommend Maple Story. What you first need to know about Maple Story is that it is a free, 2D MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game). As I just mentioned the game itself is free, but there are several enhancements that can cost you real money at times. It just depends on your tastes and needs.

Maplestory Guide Pianus
A favourite of most Paladins out there I'm sure. With 4th job Pianus a total joke now, a decent (full) party can expect to take one down in 5 minutes easily. Pianus can be found at the bottom of Aqua Dungeon, where it spawns every 24 (Right) to 36 (Left) hours.
The left Pianus has 24,000,000HP while the right Pianus has 30,000,000HP
Minimum HP: 3,800 (Left), 4,900. (Right) You might be able to try earlier though it'll be risky.
Boss info: Pretty simple really, all you need is the minimum HP and at least one person who can do 10,000+ every hit. (Dark Knights and Heroes are excellent for this) The reason for this is because Pianus summons bombs which will explode when their HP is between 1 and 5,000, dealing around 10,000 damage to anyone nearby, ouch. Not nearly as dangerous as it sounds though.

Most equipment falls into the following requirements
) Can only be equipped buy a single main class, or job.
2) For most classes there is a set of equipment choices available to upgrade to every 5 to 10 levels.
3) For most jobs, the levels you can upgrade basic equipment at is 10, 20, 30 and so on. The Mage job class's equipment level most of the time starts at 8, 18, 28, and so on.
4) All equipment has a set number of upgrades available. To upgrade, you need scrolls. This will be explained in a later article.
5) Each new set of equipment available at each "upgrade level" usually has a few bonuses above the previous set available.
6) Each set also usually has a variety of choices in colours.
7) Each colour has set average bonuses the particular piece of equipment can have and usually pertains to the desired stats that the class would use.
8) Most equipment that are considered accessories (rings, earrings, belts, etc) are not job dependent.
9) There are occasional permanent and temporary equipment from events and quests that do not always follow this list. For example, the maple anniversary weapons that fall on levels 35, 43, and 64 for their respective upgrade opportunities instead of the usual 10, 20, 30 pattern.

Bowman is the ranged class in MapleStory. They use bows and crossbows to deliver high amounts of damage to their enemies.
The Bowman's main stat is Dexterity which provides him with very high accuracy. This will allow them to be the only class to hunt monsters that are a much higher level than themselves.
The Bowman character class gets a very unique skill which allows them to knock their enemies back which will allow the Bowman to stay at range and unleash his fury on them.
Bowman is a low populated class, meaning there are not many of them on most servers compared to other MapleStory character classes.
The downfall to a Bowman is that they take a while to train and level until you reach the 3rd Job Advancement.
As a Bowman, your damage will be very inconsistent while leveling until you get some of the higher end class skills.

About MapleStory Guide - Bigfoot
A relatively powerful boss added in the Crimsonwood Keep patch in '08. A pain of a thing to kill, but really not too difficult when done right, even so; still a pain.
Boss info: Bigfoot is a pretty simple boss, it spawns in about 13 (roughly) different maps in Crimsonwood Forest. It has no real abilities and nothing much to look out for... except its ridiculously high touch damage. This beast will hit you for upwards of 12,000 damage, though funnily enough its magic "stomp" attack is completely harmless. It has several frames where it is "invincible" meaning your attacks will miss it completely, irritating, I know, but with that comes it's biggest weakness.
If Bigfoot is pushed to either edge of the map, and I mean the very edge, it will get somewhat stuck. After you hit it, it'll begin it's knock back animation (assuming you hit it hard enough) which is unusually long, once it finally gets over it, it'll be facing away from you; off the screen. You have about 1 second here to knock it back again before it comes stampeding into you. If you maintain the knock back it'll stay stuck, turning it into a joke of a boss. Makes it very easy to get through its 32,000,000HP. On that note, it also gives a lot of EXP considering its HP, making it a rather sought after boss (mostly for leeching unfortunately), aside from that, it has no valuable drops aside from its toe, used for the deputy pendant quest.
